Incorporated on May 3, 2007 under the Companies Act, 1956, Jakraya Sugars Ltd. (JSL) has its registered office at Chelekar Galli, Mangalwedha, District Solapur, Maharashtra. Established with a strong commitment to rural development, agro-industrial innovation, and clean energy, JSL has grown into a significant contributor to India’s sugar and ethanol ecosystem.

📍 Factory Location

The integrated sugar and co-generation power facility is strategically located at Watwate, Taluka Mohol, District Solapur. It lies:

• 32 km west of Solapur

• 24 km east of Mangalwedha

• 5 km south of Village Wagholi on the Solapur–Mangalwedha Road

The site is just 3.5 km from the Bhima River, with a fertile command area within a 15 km radius, irrigated by canals from Ujani Dam and lift irrigation from Bhima and Sina rivers.

• Current Capacity:

  • Sugar crushing: 5000 TCD

  • Co-gen Power: 24.6 MW

  • Ethanol Distillery: 200 KLPD

• Planned Expansion (Phase 2):

  • Ethanol distillery to be scaled up to 300 KLPD

  • Diversion of up to 60% of sugar syrup for ethanol production under the Government Ethanol Blending Programme

• Sugarcane Availability:

  • Approx. 4.5 to 5 lakh MT annually

  • Covers 10,000 hectares across 76 villages in Mohol, South Solapur, and Mangalwedha Talukas

  • Average cane recovery in the region: 11.88%

Shri Birappa Bhagwan Jadhav is the Founder Chairman and President of Jakraya Sugar Limited and has been leading the organization since its inception. With over five decades of experience in agriculture, law, rural entrepreneurship, and cooperative development, he has played a pivotal role in promoting sustainable agricultural practices and rural industrialization in the Solapur region of Maharashtra.

Shri Sachin Birappa Jadhav is the Chairman of Jakraya Sugar Limited, having assumed the office of Chairman with effect from 01 April 2026. He is an accomplished agricultural professional, entrepreneur, and business leader with over two decades of experience in agriculture, agribusiness, irrigation, organic farming, and agro-industrial management. Under his leadership, Jakraya Sugar Limited continues to strengthen its position as an integrated agro-industrial enterprise engaged in sugar manufacturing, ethanol production, cogeneration of power, and compressed biogas (CBG). As Chairman, Shri Sachin Birappa Jadhav is committed to driving sustainable growth, technological innovation, operational excellence, and long-term value creation for farmers, shareholders, employees, and other stakeholders.

Shri Rahul Birappa Jadhav is the Managing Director of Jakraya Sugar Limited, having assumed the office of Managing Director with effect from 01 April 2026. He is a qualified Mechanical Engineer with over two decades of experience in agricultural management, agribusiness, and the sugar industry. His technical expertise, combined with practical experience in agriculture and business management, has been instrumental in the Company’s growth and operational excellence. Under his leadership, Jakraya Sugar Limited continues to strengthen its integrated agro-industrial operations encompassing sugar manufacturing, ethanol production, cogeneration of power, and compressed biogas (CBG).
